EXPERIENCE
DESIGN CO-ORDINATOR HALFPENNY, LONDON
APRIL 2024-PRESENT
Working alongside the brand founder to help bring their vision to life from the design of new seasonal collections, creative collaborations and bespoke bridal pieces. I work to ensure all projects are handed over smoothly and the desired creative outcome is achieved. Key responsibilities include:
✴ Collaborating with the Creative Director to conceptualise seasonal collections, finding inspirational and authentic research that aligns with the brand’s creative vision.
✴ Leading embroidery and beadwork development, where I design swatches and manage supplier communication for quality and timely delivery.
✴ Attending fit sessions, creating tech drawings and working closely with production and atelier throughout the whole design cycle.
✴ Manage the critical path for Halfpenny mainline collections and special projects as well as Oversee budgeting and department spend to ensure adherence to company budgets.
✴ Manage a design assistant within the design team and support with their growth as a designer.
WOMENSWEAR DESIGN ASSISTANT OLIVER BONAS, LONDON
SEPTEMBER 2021-OCTOBER 2023
Worked on all stages of the design process, from concept research to fits and production. Primarily focused on skirts and day tops, with additional support for multiple product areas during peak seasons. Key responsibilities included:
✴ Collated original research and unique imagery for seasonal themes and brainstorming, attending design inspo trips and trend forecasting events.
✴ Collaborated with the creative director to present concepts to department heads.
✴ Attended fabric fairs and supplier meetings to source fresh materials for upcoming seasons and ensured a fabric first approach to designing.
✴ Researched and developed designs focused on skirts and day tops, aligning with the brand brief and ensuring a balance between fashionability and commerciality.
✴ Created runway decks documenting shows, trends, and street style for broader creative teams.
✴ Contributed to the circularity team, exploring sustainable innovations and integrating new techniques.
LONDON FASHION WEEK ASSISTANT, ANNIES IBIZA, LONDON
FEBRUARY 2024
My main role as an intern was supporting the Annie's Ibiza styling and boutique team with a range of organisational tasks in the lead up to fashion week. This included handling VIP loans and orders, hand sewing repairs on custom garments and assistance with logistics behind the scenes.
WOMENSWEAR DESIGN INTERN, TOMMY HILFIGER, AMSTERDAM
OCTOBER 2019-JUNE 2020
During my internship I assisted the Tommy womenswear Sweaters, Outerwear and Casual wovens departments. My tasks included:
Creating tech packs, illustrator sketches and putting together style overviews for the Tommy EU markets.
Created hand drawn fashion illustrations to sit with new season presentations.
Completed workshops in design circularity and 3D design softwares Browzwear and V-Stitcher.
STUDIO INTERN, SHRIMPS, LONDON
JUNE 2019-SEPTEMBER 2019
While interning I assisted the design team with both clothing and jewellery development as well as pattern cutting and creating initial toilles for the AW20 show. I also worked backstage at their AW19 show and helped the team organise E-commerce photoshoots for the brand.
